Rules of the blog

So the idea came up in #paforums_pax to have a way for us to share our recipes, especially by those who want to learn to cook. I've set up this blog as a place for people to post and comment on recipes and will eventually (read that as when I f'in feel like it or someone else does the work :P ) be compiled into a cookbook for our community to buy.

To post please contact EruditeAphrodite with your email address and I will add you as a writer. If you can, post pictures with your recipes so people can see what the food looks like. A rating system (Casual, Easy, Normal, Hard, Super Foodie) was also mentioned to give people an idea of how difficult a recipe is.

Some final rules
- The title of your post should be the name of the dish
- Include tags for type of dish (soup, salad, main, etc) along with major ingredients
- If the recipe is something you have yoinked please include where it came from.

If you have any suggestions about running this (and especially if you'd like to help) PLEASE let me know. Eep is a very busy girl. :P

IRC themed drink contest


So I got this idea from Skepchick and think it's fantastic. I present to you... the IRC themed drink contest.

In the responses post your best idea for a #paforums_pax themed drink and I will choose four to five other people who will try the drinks and will pick a winner. Drinks will be judged on taste, appearance and creativity. I wouldn't think it needs to be said, but I know you assholes: no illegal substances, nothing that will hurt us and none of those godawful milk curdling, vomit inducing horrors you read about online.

I'll buy the winner their drink at the next PAX they attend (as long as they remind me). We'll post reviews and pictures in here and will record the podcast for hilarity.

    Take one shot of every liquid in your fridge and liquor cabinet that isn't totally spoiled (that OJ hasn't been in there THAT long... really >.>) toss it into a blender and mix. Grab a shot, bang your head against the wall three times, spin around and shoot. Repeat until you are talking gibberish.

    4-5 oz Pineapple juice
    * shake with ice and pour into glass
    Add a blueberry vodka floater & 1 cherry.

    One part chocolate liquor
    One part caramel liquor
    Two parts Sailor Jerrys

    Mix, drink, yell "FUUUUUUU SNICKERS" and kick him from channel.

    45mL Canadian whiskey
    1.5oz gin
    1.5oz tequila
    1.5oz white rum

    Top off with root beer, garnish with a rubber duck, and then never finish the drink.
